keef's a keeper

art/history: i managed to resist keef's charms until last september when he took over bbc4 for his lost weekend. it was over these two nights that i discovered he's truly invincible - &, if the theory proves true, the cockroaches of the apocalypse shall be very entertained, indeed, by his tales. he's an intellectual renegade who holds baudelaire dear & has taken many a waif of the non-human variety under his guitar-genius wing. he's also a staunch socialist at heart whose roots are firmly labour. sometime in the late 50s, he & mick jagger bonded over some chuck berry & muddy waters records...et voila! the rolling stones were born. #otdin 1965, the states was treated to one of their most renowned ditties, the lyrics from which still ring true: (i can't get no) satisfaction.
